Zendo Schedule

Tuesday 1st July 19.30-21.00  - simple vegetarian supper of quiche and salad cooked by Sensei for those who wish to come at 6.40, followed by three sittings at 7.30 finishing with service. Please let Sensei know of any names you wish to be offered in heart-mind during service.

Friday morning 07.15-07.40 - what a good way to open the heart, simple, almost unadorned, a tender morning unfolding of Buddha-nature. We start with En-Mei Jikku Kannon Gyo and finish with Ti- Sarana.

Sangha Family Day Sunday 6th July  A day for everyone in the family, grandparents, mum and dad, children, grandchildren, brothers, sisters, aunts and uncles. Everyone welcome, a chance for fun and the opportunity for family to see what sitting and the sangha is all about. There will be food for everyone, including Buddha onion bhajis, Dharma date loaf , Sangha coleslaw, Heart Sūtra red pepper hummus, lashings of Lotus Sūtra lemonade, Ti Sarana Afternoon tea and a variety of activities we’ll plan together including children’s stories which will almost certainly entertain adults and teenagers; garden games, perhaps a walk.

We now follow the ordinary rhythm of the year, each week. Either service or just sitting, or Daisan (interviews with Sensei), or a Teisho (teaching), or sharing our joys and sorrows.

Zazenkai and Sesshin
Every second month there will either be a Zazenkai, an extended day of quiet practice with a Teisho, and Daisan or a Mini-Sesshin, an extended opportunity to deepen practice with Teisho, Daisan, Work Practice and Liturgy Friday afternoon 16.30 to Sunday at 16.30.

See the Retreats and Events page for more detail about Zazenkai and Sesshin.
