In the Vimalakirti Sutra, at the Buddha’s bidding, the Bodhisttva Manjusri goes to debate the nature of emptiness with the householder Vimalakirti who lives in a one roomed house. As he steps into the tiny space it opens into vastness that accommodates the huge throng of eight thousand bodhisattvas, five hundred disciples, Sakras, Brahmas, Lokapalas, and many hundreds of thousands of gods and goddesses, who had accompanied Manjusri to listen to the Dharma. Our tiny Zendo is like that. It will receive and accommodate you, and the vast throng of feelings, thoughts, sensations that accompany you.
